Has anyone tried the Light adjusting sunglasses, I think wiley x makes them, Just thinking they might be a good thing instead of having to stop and switch from sunglasses to clear lens when the sun goes down while riding.
I have a pr of the $165 panoptx absolutly love the glasses but had the same problem, I'm 5'9 also and I don't want the bigger windsheild, I got a pair of croakies and put them on, Problem solved for $14, Try them out not to big of an investment. Just my .02. T
I had the same problem, turns out it wasnt the glasses. Put a 8" clear view recurve windshield on, problem solved! This way you can keep your 20 year old RayBans streak alive.
I have a Cro-Magnon type forehead...some say my forehead is so big it's a fivehead. What I do is push the glasses right up to my eyes and kind of squint,so I'musing the meat where my eyebrows are to hold my glasses in place. Kinda like using 2 monocles at the same time. It works great! Now if I can only figure out how to get rid of the headache every time I go riding, I'll be fine.
My first demo ride on a SG, same thing, got a LOT of wind in my face. Second demo ride, wore a face shield. I think you have two choices, taller windshield or riding glasses.
I just bought my 08 SG and had the same problem, bought a KLOCKWERKS windshield for Covington Cycle City in Woodward,Ok and fixed my problems. I have rode over 80mph and my glasses were fine
