Default Sunglasses dancing on my Nose!!

OK, I give up. Bought the SG last Fall and the Ohio weather has made sure I couldn't ride it all Winter. I've had it out a couple times now and my 20 year old RayBan sunglasses that have performed well for thousands of miles were bouncing off my nose 1/4 inch at a time. Put on a 6 and 1/2 inch shield, added the fork baffle added the side fairing air deflectors. Still bouncing. Can't ride over 50 MPH without holding my hand on the bridge of my nose to keep them steady.
What gives? Friends have suggested H-D Profile glasses - YIPES - $120 !!
What are you guys using? I can't be the only 5'9" guy on a Street Glide with this issue!
Not going to wear goggles, not looking to wear my full face helmet everytime I take this out.
Not going to duct tape glasses to my head! Any ideas?

I had the same problem, I solved it w/ a pair of Wiley X's with strap attachment.

I had the same issue, and what I did was went from the 9" windshield to teh 12" and it changed the airflow across the bike. Stopped it for me

I don't get it, you spend money on everything for your enjoyement of the bike but a good pair of riding glasses? Your eyes are worth the investment. Can get a good pair on sale for under $100.

Can't say I have ever had that problem. I know when I ride without my windshield, and wear my regular perspription glasses my eye will tear because of wind. That's a lot of wind movement directed at my body. If I put on my windshield I don't get near the turbulance and wearing those same glasses isn't a problem (and they are not your typical rounded lens type riding glasses). Typically (if I wear my contacts) with or without my windshield, I can pretty much wear any style of sunglasses without them jumping around. My problem is that my eyes tear too much more than anything.

The rounded type glasses are designed to help redirect wind turbulance. I can't think of any particular remedy to your problem other than trying a diffent style that are engineered for riding....or of course, installing a windshield. There are all kinds of 'cheapie' glasses that would do the trick at your neighbourhood corner gas station. You might have to experiment a bit to find the ones that work for you.

Go to Walmart and ask them to tighten the screws, adjust the frames so they are more snug. Check the nose clips and see that they are snug... on second thought Sunglass Hut might be better.

I would go find some riding glasses with the foam inside the frame. You don't have to go and spend $120 at the harley dealer. Check any indy shop, metric bike dealer,or bike event with vendors and you should be able to find some for under $30. I always buy cheap $20 glasses at an indy shop here in town.Never had any problems with them staying put up to 100 mph and no windshield.
