Anyone use the HD touch up paint kit?? Had to order it for my SG after installing that pain in the a$$ stealth rack last night. Just wondering if it looks like crap after the application.........
yep...unfortunately had use it the other day. my first scratch on the tank of my 07 vivid black wideglide....
i had a very weird shaped scratch on my tank. i used a toothpick..the touch up paint is much thicker than you expect it to be.
i got too much on even using a very sharp toothpick...be careful. but it came out looking pretty good after it dried.
I always clean the area first, cover with blue masking tape, andthencutout around the area that will be painted.
NextI sand lightly, cleanand then apply the paint. If the scratch is deep,I apply severalcoats allowing sufficient dry time between applications. After a day or so I'll apply the clearcoat.
