Check with the Service Dept about some stuff since it seems the '08's are new in a small number of ways. I've ordered a RK Classic with ABS. I wanted the Beach Bars but Service said they wouldn't work with the ABS, YET.
Shop around.Set up fees will vary dealer to dealer.Same applies to extended service contracts and extended warranties.
I bought my bike in March '06.All the local dealers were asking(and would not budge)MSRP.The only prices that were different was what I said above.I was able to get $500 off because my father inlaw introduced me to the salesman that sold him his bike.
I think around May,some dealers were knocking off $1000-1500 to make room for the '07's.
The dealer I bought my bike from said if they install the SE slipons,AC and SERT,that the warranty would not be voided.
What I would say is, any engine work that is installed, and warrantied, through one dealership, may not be warrantied by another dealer... If that makes sense...
>>>>"It's just a bike for Pete's sake."
is that a goldwing slogan? because it dont apply here. not a flame, just harley 101. i've ridden a few g/w's ,nice riding bikes. zero soul.
regarding the question, i would skip the oil cooler and get the tuner. the bike will run cooler so the oil will be cooler and you will have the tuner. so you will be kewler.
