This is probably a stupid question, butif I press the re-set button on the trip meteronthe console will it zero my mileage and not be retrievable?I've never had the guts to press it for fear of losing the total miles on the odometer.
of course it does not clear ALL your mileage .... just your TRIP - hense the name TRIP RESET
depending on the year (i have 3 settings) ... you have your main mileage which can not be reset - and a trip which you reset on fill ups etc... I have another on mine so i can do trip total mileage and tank reset mileage
push and hold it to reset on the TRIP one and it only goes to 0
Smitty0128...Nope, not an AF joke, just one of those stupid questions people ask from time to time. What's even funnier, I don't think I ever touched the re-set button on my '93 FLHTP for the exact same reason.
