Does Harley have a stage 1 download for True duals?
Thanks for all the response, I have had a pc3, sert and thunder max in it before and each one was dyno tune the only one that ran good was the sert. But the program is too temperamental you make one mistake and the ECM is no good. The pc3 made my bike ping like crazy, the thunder max mad my bike run way to hot. Now I am back to the stage one down load which the bike run the best, yes a little hot but the 07 are design to run hot that is why they have more cooling fin surface then the older engines. Beside I have a 7 year warranty if it burns up they will replace it. I just like the look of the true duels.

First thing they will tell you is that the aftermarket parts voided the warranty, you did not properly tune it, bla bla bla.
Your DEALER may stand behind you, as they did the work (I assume) but never forget that THEY have to answer to the company that pays the warranty claims. How much faith do you have in the dealer that they will pay for repairs out of their own pocket if the warranty underwriters deny the claim?
Do yourself a favor. Take it to a GOOD tuner, and have the SERT tuned correctly. There is NO reason for it to run poorly if the tuner knows what he is doing with the equipment you are running. If you have gone through 3 different fuel managers and tunees, and none of them run right, you need to get the hell away from that dealer and find another.

BUT NOT STAGE ONE!!
stage one is for genuine H. D. accessories only.
A stage one is H.D's full flow air cleaner and the ECM reflash only.
Stage one does NOT include pipes of any kind or mufflers.
Go read the fine print in H. D.'s Parts and accessories catalog!!

Well it depends - The stage one map for True Duals is on the SERT disk. I guess I don't see why there would not be one avalable to the technicians. I know my dealer tried several from the HD tech site but they all ran like crap. So given what I was told at my dealer about my bike I would say yes HD does have a download for True Duals.

I talked to my dealer last week about adding true duals to my '08 RKC. I have the Stage I kit with download and SE Street Performance Touring pipes. Dealer recommends simply adding a Power Commander III, set it to use the O2 sensors, run a dyno, and I'll have no problems with my True Duals. My dealer is House of Thunder in Morgan Hill, CA. If you know the place then you know you can trust what they say. They have the credentials to back up their recommendations and their work.
Ciao.

No mufflers involved, unless you CHOOSE to add them into the mix. (which most people do) But they are not part of the Stage 1 "Kit"
The only thing in MY 2008 catalog that INCLUDES mufflers, is the Stage 2 big bore kit WITH cams, because it includes cat mufflers for 49 state bikes. If you are referring to page 516 "Let it breath" then yes, it does refer to the intake/reflash and muffler COMBINATION, but you will note that there is no parts kit for that combination. The stage 1 flash is for the INTAKE. It has nothing to do with exhaust systems, HD or otherwise. It is solely to richen up the mixture when you are adding the free-flow intake. Ask a dealer if you can add mufflers ONLY on your stock bike, without remapping. Unless he is out to rip you off, the answer will be yes. He may STRONGLY SUGGEST doing the stage 1 intake, telling you that adding mufflers only will not improve performance, only sound, but if you pin them down, they will admit that you don't HAVE to do the intake as part of changing mufflers ONLY.
You will also note that NONE of the SE muffler kits in the catalog, list a REQUIREMENT of doing any remapping.
The remap is for the INTAKE. Not the exhaust.

Don't know what outdated catalog you have, choo-choo, but your post is erroneous. check the 2008 catalog, starting on page 516.
Stage One: Air cleaner and Street performance mufflers, plus ECM reflash.

I am trying to upgrade my 2006 roadking flhpi and I have true duals with freedom megaphone 4.5 in slipons I'm putting a custom open face and side air cleaner arlin ness style, and I'm going to get a dynojet power vision tuner. Is this going to be stage one? I dont know if the pipes are stage 1 and I do not see any o2 sensors so will it even help?

Just get the tuner and flash the ecm for your setup. It will run great.
BTW: I ran the "Stage 1" download for 8 years and just recently bought a tuner (FuelPak FP3) The difference is amazing. Bike runs much stronger and cooler now.
