S/E cam plate ?

I bought a SE billet cam plate and high volume oil pump for my 01 fltpi with the idea of doing big bore and other mods too. I have now changed my mind on these mods but still am going to install the plate and pump anyway. My question is is there a gear cam set that is close to stock or just leave in the old cams as i already replaced the guides last year? This plate doesnt use bearing in like the original plate i have in there now will my cams fit. I am planning on buying a new bike next spring instead of sticking more money into this one. I was planning a six speed but for the money i will wait and get me a new ride or low milage used 07 and newer. Thanks any advice on this plate would be kind!!

If you're gonna get a new one next year, I wouldn't change anything away from stock. Save the money for a down payment or goodies for the new one.

your old style stock cams will not work without bearings in the cam plate. SE has a new cam plate with new style oil pump that works with old style cams (pre 06 dyna pre07 everything else) that you can use your original cams with. there are two different SE camplates one for 06 on up dynas 07 up everything else and the one for bikes like your 01 big difference between them.

I have the se cam plate for 06 to 99 touring. It has brass where bearings arein my old plate.

I will look when i get home mabey dealer ordered me wrong plate!! I see in last years book it doesnt have those brass parts. This is the same book that i got the part number from so they may have got it wrong!! I got it last nov. so i may be up a creek. Or i could save it for the new one!!!LOL

Sorry guys it does have the recesses for the cam bearings.

use your old cams or Andrews makes a gear drive 12G's that nearly identical to the stock cams also 21g's and 26G's are close to and will give a boost in performance.
