Default fuelmotousa?

Has anyone purchased a powercommander from these guys? Wondering how well the pre-loaded map has worked for those that have tried.

It has been an unusually mild winter here in the Boston area, so I am getting more anxious to do my mods before the spring.

Ordered the SE air cleaner and SE pro one piece slip ons from Zanotti's - expected to arrive for the weekend work.

The general opionion I have observed from the posters on the forum is that ultimately a dyno - tune is the best way to dial in the bike. Have a good guy close by, J&D Cycles in Hyde Park, an I will likely end up there once the weather is warmer and sand is swept out of the corners.

I assume that the pre-load will be acceptable until I can get to the dyno.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

If you have a preloaded map that matches your upgrades you will be fine. The bike might actually run pretty good but the dyno is a must to dial in your performance without losing fuel economy.

Enjoy!

I purchased my PC III from fuel moto last year. it was a very good experience. They preloaded the map I requested after talking with dynajet directly. It worked well but I did tweak the unit manually to correct some over richness. Absolutely have a dyno run planned to optimize the situation. It is a small investment and big improvement. If you are near Fuel Moto they have a brand new Dyno 250 and are certified.

thanks tom and terry. sounds like I'm on the right track.

I will take your advice and get the dyno done. Would like to ride it to WI to haev the dyno done. But I don;t think I can squeeze in the vaca time. Haven't been back to Milwaukee since I graduated from Marquette in '84.

Thanks again.

Just finished install of pre-programmed PClll from fuelmoto. They did a great job dialing in my K&N stage 1 a/c and V&H oval slipons. The bike has never run this good. IMO you can't go wrong with FUELMOTO
