We installed a set on a brand new 08 Electra Glide Classic a few weeks ago. I personally think the set-up looks terrible and I cannot see anyone being comfortable with them. But the 5 ft 8 about 140 lb owner is crazy in love with it.Few things baffle me about HD owners but this is an exception for such a bike. Seems to me such a set-up is usually favored by a small to medium size guy or a really big guy. Who knows?I have seen the set-up with a woman at the helm as well. All in all it is still about individualism. Some people do not care about the inherent dangers of raising the center of gravity and are willing to sign waiver of liability statements to get what they want.Had a guy in the store a couple days ago and his question was "ON this new crossbones, why didnt HD raise the bars about another 4 inches higher and if they had, he would buy it right now?"I said HD set the bars as high as safety and the law would allow but that if he wanted them higher, hand me a $1,000.00 deposit and while my service dept was making the adjustment I would do the paperwork and have him rolling in an hour. Have not heard or seen him since. Amazing how money calms the ideas of some people.
