Street Bob to an Ultra.........Does that count? What a difference.....You will pick it up in no time. Slow manuevering was the hardest part for me to get used to....Parking lots etc....

thug boy, how tall are you? I hear as a rule of thumb thatany windshield should be 2 inches below your line of sight to allow you to look over and duck behind in case of bad weather. Not sure how true it is but makes sence to me. I'm 5' 11" so I'll have to wait and see where it lies it my line of site. I've never ridden a dresser before. I alos plan on eventually putting on some Super Trap SE muffflers and the Ness BS and a sert for the heat but that's final, I think. Then the missus will want the 103 kit so i'll get that for her when she saves up enough cash for it. I thought I heard her mention something about J&M headsets once, I'll have to ask her about which ones she wanted.
blackfinbob, I see you have the detach kit on your tourpack. That is another one of the mods I want to lighten the load when riding solo and give it a more sporty look. I have been trying to absorb all the info I see passing through but still confused on the wiring details. I want to retain the radio antenna and don't want to chop up the wiring harness. Do you know of a link to a good procedure to get er done? I think someone wrote that the part number to the complete kit is 53303-07, not sure if this will fit an 08 but we'll see. I'll go to Zanotti probably for my orders. Should be fast shipping to Michigan.
I am lucky ! My 1st HD was a 97 WG in the Summer of 97 and I bought a 2nd bike cus
the Wife didn't like riding on back of the WG. So I bought a 98 FLHTCI and KEPT the WG.
Since then I traded the 97 WG for a 99 WG and last Summer sold the 98 FLHTCI for
a 07 FLHTCU. I love them both !
I did notice last Summer I rode the Ultra more because I loved listening to music as I ride.
This year I may ride it more cus I added a Hogtune 6 speaker system to it.
Rob .....
I struggled about giving up the WG for an Ultra. The WG was great on the short hops, especially around town. But the Ultra is the way to travel, especially with the wife. Couldn't make a decision, so finally just kept the WG and got the Ultra anyway.
