New Street glide - 138 miles on it - out today and tried the cruise control for the first time and the orange light on the tach doesn't come on when I push the botton on the dash. Any opinions on what might be wrong or if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks

If it's a 2008 Glide it could be a couple possible items. If it's not enabled in the ECM it's a 5 minute fix by the dealer. It it's not receiving the enable signal from the console switch it could be 5 min. to a couple hours. Take it back it's still under warranty.

On my 08 Electra Glide Classic, my cruise also stopped working last weekend went to the dealer he looked it over quick, fuses ok. It was working when I rode the bike home new from the dealer last month , only used it once and it worked great, when I tried to use it this past weekend NADA!!!! Same as yours light on dash doesn't illumionate! Dropped it off at the dealers last night to be fixed under warranty, will keep all intrested updated!!!! Thanks Bill

Fixed Broken 08 Cruise Control!!
Well its fixed now! Picked the bike up tonightfrom the dealer. All thistime the cruise never worked! I thought I used it once, butnow that I think backI tried to use it when I first picked up the bikebut couldnt get it to set,tried it a few times then shut it off. When I went to use it this pastweekend it didnt work. I assumed it worked before!! You know what they say when aussume!! make an *** out of u n me!! Dealersaid it never could have worked, because the tech never downloaded the software!! This is the first one they installed! So much for road testing the bikes! When I picked it up and took it home tonight I noticed a scratch on the side saddlebag, under the double guard bars, only way that could have happened is when the tech removed saddlebag to check the fuses, believe me Im **** and that was never there!! I called the dealer they were closed. Ill have to go and straighten this issue out Saturday, oh well!! Thanks everyone for your replies, Bill

Mine didn't work either when I picked it up new. Dealer had to call HD to resolve the problem. It turned out to be a bad electrical connection--wire not crimped properly.
