Steering lock issues 2005 RKC
Recently purchaced a 2005 RKC (about 3 weeks ago). Havent had to use the steering lock until this past weekend. The key doen't fit or work. I know the bike was from out of state. My guess is it was a repo and had to change the ignition (have both keys with the number tag). My qustion is can I have rekeyed (the steering lock since I have the ignition numbers) locally (houston, TX)cheaper than driving 115 miles to (Beaumont, TX) and making the dealer make it right? Or is there a number on the steering lock that could be crossed over to a new ignition switch?[sm=lockeddance.gif]
