Default Internal wiring handlebars

I am looking at the possibility of changing the handlebars of my SG for a model with internal wiring. For those who have done It, what are the best manufactures? Is It a big job?

Thanks

Wish I could remember the guys name that just did this on his SG. I'm sure he will be along soon to answer any questions you have.

I just did mine on my 2004 Road Glide, used Burly bars mini apes, and they seem to be good quality, and they fit real well. I had twelve wires on each side, up to each control. Just take your time, and make a schematic of the plugs. My plugs were numbered 1 through 12, were each wire was inserted, so that made it pretty easy to make the schematic, and match the wires to the plug.

Ditto what Vetter says. Once you figure out how to pop the pins in the coupling, its a piece of cake. No different then snaking a wire through a wall. The only diifculty could be lengthening the wires, if necessary. Fortunately, I did not have to. You can usually steal a coule inches out of the wiring harness and still be good.

As CHEYENNE had mentioned I have my bars internally wired on my SG. I personnally didn't do it myself I had a shop install them. It is a time consuming job but with some patience and a vacuum cleaner to help pull them through it can be done.

My shop charged me $160 just to internally wire the bars. Considering the time involved just to get to the point when they can be pulled through is worth it in my book.

If you choose to do it here is a good link to review >>> Do It Yourself Handlebar Install

Good luck if you take it on.
