As you can already tell the Air Temp gauge is well known to be worthless. Why the MOCO Engineers can't relocate the probe to a place that works is beyond my knowledge. You would think that if a hack like me knows how to fix the problem an Engineer at HD should...........
I love the complaints about the air temp guages.
Is the one in your car (if you have one) any more accurate? Mine reads 5-10 highall the time, do I rant against Jeep because of that? Nope - better things to do.
The Formotion temp guage I put on my Road King reads 5+ high most of the time. Do I rant about that? Nope, serves no useful purpose IMHO.

Yes. Always with in a degree or two of what the weather reports are.

Do you own an Ultra? You would then realize that 5 degrees would be close enough. I've had my Temp Gauge pegged out when it's in the mid 60's. That is the reason we TALK about it.
I'd just like to find mine on a 08.
When I looked at everybody elses. Mine was not there.
I removed it and went to a Oil Temp gauge https://www.hdforums.com/m_2400514/m...tm.htm#2403796 But I never did find the sender?
