HD Sucks, Why do you own one?
anything that is made by man, slant or round eyed is gonna break! i've owned both. Harley is an American dream! there is just some sort of pride you gotta have when in the sddle of a Harley! if you wnat to bitch about something, go live in another country for a bit. this is the land of the free because of the brave! riding a Harley is just another way of expressing your appreciation for your freedom in my opinion. damn that machine puts a smile on my face!

And some people would rather bitch about them, to have fun...
I'll say it again.... I've owned a lot of Motorcycles in my life & my SG is by far the best & most fun bike I have owned.
They should create a new category on the home page " why I hate my Harley" and all the people that just like to bitch, can hang out together and make each other miserable.
As for the getting killed by the drive by wire time will tell I wonder how much truth is in that story.
Just like all the Stealer ship posts my dealer has never ripped me off.
One man I know said the owner conned him 48 years ago.
Count the number of HD's in the scrap yard count the HD's case closed
available with a nationwide dealer network.
I say basically because it does have some foreign made products on it.
But the company last I checked was wholly American owned and ALL profits
stay here. unlike the jap bikes and England bikes
Seems like 80% of the whinning and complaining on this forum comes from about the same 10 or 12 posters. Funny thing is most of you know exactly who I'm talking about
,,,,,,but I bet the guilty have no idea.

We had a big controversy here about pit bulls, some woman wrote in that people own pit bulls for the same reason old men ride Harleys, image. I guess for me that's part of it, I like when I'm at a gas station or cafe and someone always comes up and says nice bike. I too, buy American made every chace I get, although tose chaces are getting feaer and fewer, I feel like I'm standing up for the people who are working everyday to build them and keep them on the road. They have some problems, but for me right now, my Harley is one of the greatest parts of living.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Well, with respect; I have a 2007 Ultra and with 17k in miles and have honestly had one problem after another. I'm not only disappointed with the quality and craftmanship of the bike, I'm even more aggravated with the lack of concern on the part of HD service!
I had to have my starter re-built at 5k miles and have experienced issues all down the road of ownership. I'm on my bike 5-6 days a week.
For a 21k investment, I'm not about to just leave it in the garage and accept the statement that it's just a matter of luck. For the price of an Ultra, I want a machine that works consistently and I don't think that's to much to ask. Furthermore, I would at least want HD service to act concerned about my issues. THEY ARE NOT. There is no relationship after the sale, it's strickly transactional. Make the sale, done with the customer.
Now regarding the comments of others complaining about their non-Harley bikes, well I know about 8 Goldwing owners who ride as much as I do and guess what; no problems - NONE.
Honda makes a great product but...it's a totally different philosophy of building a bike & my preference is still a Harley.
Anyway, I'm not complaining because it's a pasttime that people have done since the start of time in life. I have documented issues that all I've shared with, agree; they are very abnormal.
Not sure what I'm going to do once the warranty expires.
I personally think these new Harley's are the best bikes the company has ever built that's why I bought another one.
I know one of the parts guys at the local dealer here in town and he says people come in micromanaging there bikes or they come in just to beat up the parts department because they are in a bad mood for some reason or another.
