I am in South Florida where the rates are the highest in Florida I pay $243.00 every six months with State Farm 100k/300k/100k coverage and the bike is insured for 25k for theft or totalled lost.

Had Foremost thru HD ins. Renewal time and the premium was going to almost double. Called HD ins. and they found a deal thru Safeco that was lower than the Foremost premium before the proposed increase.
You don't say where in FL but ins. cos. go a lot by zip codes - high theft areas have way higher premiums.
Comparing insurance costs will not make sense unless you compare coverages at the same time.
Don't be fooled by a low premium, the policy may not have the coverage you want or need.
Over 2 grand for any coverage seems real steep though.
