Default question for dawg

hey dawg I thought you would be the one to know. ( or anyone else) I have a 08 ultra with 103 stage II. My dealer flashed the ecm. The problem is with the sidecar it wont fit on the dyno. Does it need to be done? Are there any benifits? It cant be adjusted anyway can it? The dealer said they have done a hundred 103s and haven't had any problems with this set up. any thoughts? thanks.

I have almost 500 miles on my 08 Road Glide. I also have the SE 103 Stage II. Dealer flashed the ECM as part of the upgrade. Bike runs great and I'm getting about 45 MPG. It has plenty of power for me so I don't plan on doing anything else to my engine. If your bike runs as well as mine a dyno tune would probably be a waste of time and money.

If you do not have a fuel management system (i.e SERT, PCIII, etc.) then no a dyno cannot dial it in. You'r only benefit to a dyno would be a base run to see where your numbers are, but not worth the hassle of pulling the hack. Since you only flashed you may find a set of IED's helpful for you. You can see those HERE

Thanks for the info on the IED's. How do they effect gas mileage?

They're supposed to get you to about 14.2 as opposed to 14.7 AF so it should help with the gas mileage. There are so many variables from bike to bike when dealing with gas mileage that I've given up on trying to nail down a definite.
