Does the Fat Cat require changing the mounting bracket under the transmission filler ? I'm going to be getting a FC in the near future and was just curious what installing it entailed. Thanks, Edbo
It bolts right up to it with no problems. Do a search on Fatcat Installation and FatCat Mufflers and you'll find a few tips and pointers on the things to watch for such as the muffler clamp. You can open up the serations on the flange to get better clamping pressure so the muffler doesn't slide back. Everything else is pretty straight forward.

Yes, you have to remove the stock mounting bracket and install the one that comes with the Fatcat.
Install is very easy, use new exhaust gaskets, and take your time and make sure everything is linear when done. Some people don't use the spacers under the saddlebag and some do, some people the exhaust goes on top of the mounting tab and some people it goes under the mounting tab.
