SE quick install push rods
Okay I just got one push rod in and adjusted out, but! the push rod isn't even near the rocker, I mean it seams like they are short, even though I know their not, is this normal? Will the lifters eventually pump up to a point where they will make the rod always be in contact with the lifter and the rocker arm? Yes my first time
They should not be loose, they should touch the lifter and rocker then turn one full turn. I forget if one is longer then the other or just wider. Double check everything, there should be no gaps.
The pushrods are different lenghts. you also have to get the cams at theirlowest point of lift to properly adjust the pushrods. I think the intake pushrod is shorter. good luck
Yeah dawg and tatergog gave me some good advice and I home free, I had over the last few years done some rounds of chemo and sometimes I just cant focus and think right, or I can think of something but cant say it, weird huh? anyway where the pushrods are concerned I just didn't connect with lengthing them so they were snug on the lifter and the rocker arm, then drive them out 2 1/2 turns.. But its done! My wife and neighbors are gonna be mad........LOUD!
