We rented a EGC in Sandy Utah couple years ago. Half way down I-15 stopped for gas and put the cap up on the pump like I always do with our Deuce. I was wearing a rain suit and never felt the wetness from the gas coming out from under the tank door as we continued south. Decided to top off in a little town called Panguitch just as we were going onto Rt 12. A really nice gentleman in the local NAPA went out of his way to figure out which cap he had that would fit the EG. I think it was a GM cap and the tank door still closed. I like the idea with the strap, I'll probably put one on our new Ultra when we get it.
Rt 12 in Utah was THE BEST road we have ever traveled.

Thats nice, cant use that on a Roadking though. I normally sit mine on top of the pump, I havent driven off without it cause its in plain view (the hole in the tank anyway). I have driven off and forgot my novelty helmet on top of the pump before, but hey, the gas cap was on.

I wedge the thread end of the cap between the left handlebar and clutch cable (after I left several on top of the pump).

ORIGINAL: pilot1996

I put mine on top of the gas pump, then I like to go back and get it after I'm about 5 minutes down the road and I can't figure out why there is a nagging feeling in the back of my head that I have forgotten something. [sm=headbang.gif]

This is the method I use also lmao

Pilot- you are too easy of a target...Doesn't the wet, burning feeling in your crotch from the fuel running back the tank remind you to go get your freaking cap......

Man- you make my day!

A riding friend of mine showed me a cap he is going to try on his SE EG, it has a hole in the middle with a flap that the nozzle end is inserted into as you gas it up.

I am skeptical though as the hole isn't much larger than the nozzle, I'am not sure if you would get an over fill or not by not being able to see very well. Will let you know how it works for him.

Are you guy's serious. Where do you put your gas cap?

Not 203 cams, sprocket size, best biker party sites, breast sizes? Now I've seen everything.

Joe I think it's the cabin fever thing. It's supposed to be 64 deg. tomorrow, I'm going to ride and try to clear my mind.

Yes, I will be thinking about you and will wick a twisty or two for ya.
