Default auto-clutch

In doing a search I came across some old postings regarding the various auto-clutch options currently available. I'm missing the fingers on my left hand. Plenty of grip, just not quite enough length to grasp and pull the clutch lever. Anyone have personal experience with EFM or Rekluse or Revlock? I know that a jockey shift/foot clutch optionis not what I want. Please help as I want to buy my first harley soon!

I've had personal experience with the EFM...it works as stated and was easy to install with plenty of help from the Company if you need it.

Good Luck

if youve read all the posts then you know what my findings were on all 3 brands....given your situation, have you looked into an air-shifter....they come with a ignition control box that kills the spark for a split second while you shift....Kim Suter did one on a bagger that was real cool....pm Shooter64, he's a personal friend of Kim's and see about it

I put a Rekluse on my wifes bike it works very well but you still need to use the clutch lever to shift throught he gears, at stop lightsyou just pullup and the clutch disengages and to take off you just hit the gas.
This system might work just fine with the air shifter to completely get rid of the need for the clutch lever.

I have a Rekluse auto-clutch in my Honda CR250 dirt bike and love it. I good friend has one in a 4-stroke Honda as well.

If they are the same product on the street as offered for the off road bikes you cant go wrong. Tunable; you can adjust the shim heights to set the "stall" to where you like it. Mine can be overidden with the lever or just never touch the lever from start to stop.

I've had mine for nearly tow years and have'nt touched it since the intitial install.

Once I'm moving, I'm very confident that I can reach and pull without an issue. This is true especially if the amount of pull needed is reduced by 40-50%. My only concern is whether or not it will hold up as the various companies claim. I'll be purchasing a 1200 sportster as my first Harley and I think its weight and torque are probably better suited for an auto-clutch than a much heavier bike would be. Any thoughts?

You should look at how it's designed. I don't think it makes any differance what bike you put it in, it uses the stock clutch and has a centrifical pressure plate.
You can also use a Drag Specialties Power Clutch with it and then it's much easier to shift throw the gears (my wifes has the combination of the Rekluse and Power Clutch and it works wellfor her).
