Just wanted to give some feedback from my first ride with the new combo. I only had been out for 10-20 mile rides before yesterday and really thought I was going to hate the new feel of the bike after the install. Well after spending about 6 hours riding yesterday my thoughts have changed. The ride isn't bad at all, infact now that I'm a little more use to it I like it better than the old ride. It seems to go into the corners better, not fighting it like I use to.
The tires may have a lot to do with it as well, never have been a big Dunlop fan always used Metz's. For those of you wondering about going with the change "Do It", you always have the old wheels and tires if you don't like it and I'm sure one of the Bro's here on the forum would be glad to give you half of what you paid for them.
I didn't, I was afraid I may have that problem but after yesterdays ride I don't thinkI'll have to worry. When I mounted the front wheel I taped a piece of 1/4" hose to the tire and spun it it did hit in one spot..you got it 10:00 but it wasn't enough to stop it completely. I took the chance and so far it's worked out..The fender had some play when the rear bolts were loose enough to tip the fender forward and pick up the rear.
