I've had a TomTom Rider for two years now. Done several road trips. It's been great!

I have the Zumo, but if I was looking for a GPS other than the Zumo, first choice would be Garmin 2720, waterproof, touchscreen, pre loaded with all USA, text to speach, not a hard drive unit.

Next Quest 2, but too small for my eyes,

Check eBay for referbished 2720, cheap......also GPS sellers like GetFeetWet.com and others sell 2720's.....had two of them, work great.

Good luck in your search...

I have a 2610. Use Ram mountsCycleGadgets.comto mount it to the bars. Installed a power supply (cigarette lighter) in the dash and just plug in the power/speaker cord in and away I go. Downside is it's hard to hear directions over the pipes and the screen can be hard to see in the bright sun. Stock lighter will not work with this setup...not enough room down there

I've used my Garmin eTrex Legend (a handheld model) strapped to my left mirror post on my 03 Heritage and on my 07 Ultra. It's primative compared to the Streetpilots and Zumos, but it works and I use it mainly to create a track logandthe Garmins are waterproof and seem unaffected by vibration.

I have the rider v2 and it works great. Tons cheaper than the zumo.
No music, but I didn't want that.

I use a cheap magellan miestro for my truck and bike that i got for $150 and a bike bar mount for $4 off ebay and it works great for me. I have no need to spend 1k for all the tricks on the other models. I don't make cross country rides. I just use it to find places and it has worked great for me. I have to use all that electronic crap (Gps,Radar,Vhf,Computer,Sat Radio, ect) at work all day long so i don't really like having it in my face at home unless i really need it.

Take a look at the Magellan 2200T or 2500T crossover unit. Water resistant ISX-4. I have had mine for about 2 years and with the addition of a ram mount its been great on the bike. Even able to work the touch screne with gloves. Best part its under $250.00

Has anyone ever used a GPS other than a zumo...
Yes!

I use the Garmin GPSMAP 478 (marine/automotive). It's actually a color chartplotter and comes with Street Navigator preloaded.

I've had the unit for a couple years and several thousand miles in all weather conditions.

Yup...the Harley one made for the audio system. Nothing to remove when parked, no wires, nothing on my bars.
