It is hard wired so it comes on when the bike is running. If I want to turn it off, I hit the off button and it does turn off. Within5 minutes or so it turns itself back on!
I'm guessing you have a loose wire. When it moves and the connection is restored, the Zumo thinks you've turned the bike on again.
Not a doctor, only play one on TV, but thats my guess.
No it should stay off if you power it off. I somewhat agree with Greg. Recheck your connection to make sure both the power and ground are not loose in any way. If you have good connections, contact Garmin.
I'm having a similar problem. Mine switches between battery and bike power. My power wire seems ok, so I believe it is a faulty craddle. Someoene else in the Zumo forum was having the same problem. Garmin is sending me a new craddle.
Dont know if this will help you out but...you need to make sure that the Zumo is in the cradle all the way.. mine was about to fall out when i caught it before it hit the floor.
