I have the Rinehart 2-1 on my SG. Compared to stock performance is night & day! Pulls harder and revs much faster. I think that there may be better performing 2-1's out there but IMO none look better. As far as looks compared to duals. To me a bagger with two pipes looks like a tourer. A bagger with one pipe looks like a streetfighter! I can't even fathom putting a fake pipe on one side. Wouldn't you throw away any performance gains with the added weight? The only downside to the 2-1 might be that you lose some of that classic HD sound by combining the pulses. I don't care, mine sounds righteous anyway!
you CALI boys would not be caught dead without Thunderheaders -- I like them
ORIGINAL: scootertramp
I just pulled my Thunderheader off my hot rod evo to do a little welding and powdercoating on it. I put my dual shotgun fishtails onher till I'm done. It was like putting a restrictor plate in the carb. I almost don't want to ride it. Took my ol' lady for a spin on it a couple of days ago and she wanted to know what was wrong with her. You can't beat a 2:1 for performance. I've got a 2:1 Rinehart on my Road Glide. Wish now I had gone with a ThunderHeader. I've run Thunderheaders on Shovels and Evos. Best performing pipe I've ever run! If I ever get another 7 bills, there'll be one on my Road Glide Kelsey! All the rich crack dealers down in Oakland are running the true dual Thunderheaders on their top of the line, wheelie poppin dressers and they sound awesome! I still prefer 2:1 but those dual THeaders are something to behold!
Donnie Rich was the man! I ran one of his first Thunderheaders on my Shovel.....
i spent forever making up my mind . once my decision was set in stone , i changed my mind again. i'm so glad i went with my gut.
and some philM-erbustering.
I went with the Bub 7 true duals. They look and sound awesome! Might have given up some torque on the bottom end but my rear can't tell the difference![8D]
If anyone thinks Izzi's bike looks funny with no pipe on this side is crazy I love the looks of my Fat Cat and the sound is even better. Some people just can't get out of there rut

Something looks funny, just can't seem to put my finger on it though??...

I'd bet you anything your rear could tell the difference if you had a 2-1 bolted on your RG. If you couldn't then you don't know how to ride.

Yours is so ugly on this side you shouldn't even take pictures Very nice!
I guess I went against what most prefer here......I have rineharts true duals and love the look and sound of them, when I feel itchy and want to haul *** I bring out the beast (hayabusa) my harley is just to cruise.....and no a harley cant leave too far behind beacause of my exhaust choice...
