Handlebar replacement directions
The service manual if it is a HD original for your bike has all you need to know.
But you will need to use different sections in it.
You will need to look up removing handle bar mounted tach if you have one.
Possibly the fork lock and handlebar cover clamp if you have that setup.
removing both the throttle assembly on the barincluding the switch assembly
the brake handleand master cylinder.
Removing the clutch lever and the switch assembly and grips if you are reusing them.
Then removing the handle bar itself.
Then if you need longer clutch and throttle cables they will most likely have directions
included.
But you will still need to refer to the O.E. H.D manual for removing, reinstalling and
adjusting these items.
Assembly of other components will be the reverse of the removal.
Now if you can't figure this out from the above and the O.E. H.D. manual, you have no business
trying to do it yourself. Take it to the shop and let them do it!

If you need that much detail you shouldn't even attempt it!!

You always do!For once I agree with you. If the manual confuses you, then don't do the work yourself.
Now if you're talking about HD instructions . . . they ALL confuse me . . . but I still manage.
Changed the handlebars on my bike and it is a 5 on the scale of 10 IMO. You can mess things up like pinching a wire or breaking the brake switch. If you take your time, you should be fine. If you mess up, just post here and we'll all help (ridicule) you until it is right.
