just showed up and delivered my 08 touring set up from Fuel Moto. Just wondering what I should look for when doing the install? I already have the Rush pipes so only changing baffles and adding the PC III and A N Big Sucker. Easy install?? How long should it take?
It is a very easy install. Switch the baffles out, install the bs according to the directions and the pc111 has detailed instructions also. I would say approx. 2-3 hours for total install time.
I have read on here but can't find on search about throttle positioning. The directions do not state anything about having to zero throttle or wide open throttle set. Am I missing something? IS the sheet of directions not complete and are there more on the disc? Sorry for the lack of knowledge here but I want to get it right.
Just install everything. Hook up the 'puter to the PCIII (may have to load the program from the CD) and it should show you the throttle position (bike on). On the 08's, you don't really have to set it, just check the zero position. If your a halfway decent wrench, shouldn't take you more than 2 hours total.
Use some electrical contact grease on the connector that joins the bike harness to the PC III harness.
Then be sure and get that connector up out of the way where any kind of water can not reach it. This includes rain, road spray, and when washing the bike.
