FYI, set idle throttle position today: 2% before setting- 0% after. Since the install instructions for PCIII USB never said to set idle throttle position , I didn't do it on initial install.
I also did not install the plugs over the USB and 9V battery sockets (until today).
SO, before you tie everything down at install use a little di-electric grease on the HUGe connector seals, set idle throttle position, then use a little grease on the plastic "plugs" . My auto stores sell little match book size di-electric grease(s) from a little display on the counter...
I went back to set idle throttle position after slowly developing a pronounced popping at decel. I also checked the exhaust flange bolts and they were not tight- retightened and am about to give it another try.
If you set 100% TP, do it without cranking the engine. Just attach the 9V battery, turn on the ignition but don't start the bike, then perform the adjustment by clicking on the "Reset" button in the PC software. On my '07 SG this has been preferable to having the bike running because it takes a short time for the TP to settle, and by not having the engine running you are not in a hurry. This is an alternate method mentioned in PC literature and/or tutorials.
