Default Rant J&M Corp. (Problem Resolved)

I feel like I have been ripped off on inflated shipping charges. Placed an order on 4-15-08 (2) shorty antennas weight about 1 lb.
Web site advised free shipping, but I needed then asap because we were leaving on a trip. I requested an upgrade to priority mail about a $6.50 charge I thought. J&M charged my card today 4-16-08 $79.98 plus $20.02 for the shipping this is a ripoff. I called J&M about the shipping, very rude & could care less. However this will be the lastdollar I spend with J&M.

I would like to post a follow up.

I have exchanged emails with John the owner of J&M Corp. The shipping has been adjusted to a reasonable rate and now waitingon the antennas, shipped today. I want to thank John again on this forum.

Priority mail is always expensive and overnight delivery is not guaranteed. I always use UPS or DHL. Much more reasonable.

I've emailed the owner of the company for you (John). He and I know each other through the forum here and I'm sure that if he is near his computer and gets his email he will try to figure out what happened and if there is anything he or J&M can do about it. I gave him a link to this thread so he can get with you.

Before we continue slamming one of our paying sponsors here let's give the guy a chance to make it right or explain what is going on.

Thanks,
Terry

Dbird,

I would suspect that since you opted for a shipping service that wasn't a part of the 'free shipping' deal, you got charged the full shipping charge. And I suspect that you expected to be charged only for the didfference in shipping. J & M may come back with some allowance for you; or maybe not.

I understand your frustration. And I'll agree that J & M personnel sometimes comes across as pretty course. I've had that happen on occasion myself.

BUT - I will say, during on-site visits there, and sometimes on the phone - depending on who answers, they can be the nicest people on earth. Keep in mind, they talk to hundreds of people throughout the day, and many of the callers are totally rude as well.

John puts out a quality product. If you're just looking for cheap, there are other places to go. But if you want the best, you'll find it at J & M. They have done their homework and know what works and what doesn't work.

So, while you can buy shorty antenna's elsewhere for a lot less money, I think you'll be satisfied with the J & M products. AND - if you're not, you can return them for a full refund! Stay calm, be civil, and I think they'll take care of you.

No affiliation here. Just another customer.

I've never had a problem with J&M... I've bought a new one for my last 2 bikes, as well as my wife's bike. Anything I ordered came when promised at the price quoted.

I've needed to replace the dust cover once, and the aux **** once. I emailed J&M each time, and had a new one withing a week... J&M rocks

You say you needed an antenna and quickly? you could have bought ANY cb antenna locally....

I order from them and they are always good with me. Just called them last week to see if they made a patch cord for a Honda Intercom Helmet and a Harley intercom and they took their time to explain what I needed.
