My 08 is perfect! I noticed that my throttle has a forward position, like if you twist the throttle forward from idle. I wondered for a while what it was for. I just made the assumption that it was for some kind of diagnostic or reset or something,, but something happened the other day that made me realize what it is for (most likely).. I was cruising at about 85 on the freeway with cruise set... I had both hands on the grips and was very comfortable.. to the point that I kinda forgot that I was even using cruse control.. A car was slowing down in front of me so I started to let up on the throttle a bit to slow down... Since cruise was set, it didn't slow down at all! It sorta surprised me... In an instant, my reaction was to twist the throttle to the decel position. To my surprise, the cruise disengaged and I slowed down.. Now I know that twisting the throttle to the forward (decel) detent/position of the throttle disengages cruise. No more will I have to tap the brake pedal to disengage it. I'm assuming this is a safety feature that moco put in on purpose..
I love my 08, no tbw issues, love it, love it, love it! Better than all the metrics I've owned!!!
