cell phone interface from HD ?
Does anyone have any experience w/HD's cell phone interface through the new 07/08 radio. I placed my order for an 08 SEUC, and thinking about trying the interface also, what's another $500 at this point [:@].

One thing to be aware of, it mounts inside tour pack on left side and does stick out about an inch +/- . I did not know that when I ordered it, but it should be no big deal.

Jest finished installin' mine over the weekend. Can't tell ya nuthin' 'bout how she works yet, since mah current phone ain't compatible - gonna pick one up this weekend, hopefully.
Ah WILL say that it's a purty easy install - took me 'bout 3 hours start ta finish.

Hmm, we complain about cagers yacking on cell phones and driving, now this? No sir, no way am I taking that kinda risk on top of all the others. I think you could do better riding with a blindfold on, cell phones are a HUGE, HUGE distraction when operating ANY vehicle.

Ryan - yes, run a GPS - a Garmin 2610. Ain't bothered ta interface it ta the bike system, though - it's not been an issue. Ah don't even run the voice prompts in the truck - a periodic glance suffices ta tell me 'bout the next turn....
Spike, the whole reason fer this blasted thang is that mah customers expect to be able ta reach me 24/7 (ah've had this requirement fer so long it ain't funny), an' some of 'em *require* 24/7 capability, so it's either stop every time the phone rings, or answer an' either resolve it with a few words or call 'em back shortly (like at the next fuel stop). Ah've found that when they find out ah'm on the bike, they're cool with a call back the next day, even - and suddenly their "emergency" is much less than they thought it was. I kin usually git 'em ta email me their issues and wait for a response until the next working day - so it's a BIG benefit fer me on weekends/evenings.
Don't mention finding a different job - ah've been doin' this 32 years, and love what ah do! Ain't many jobs whar you can have such a variety of applications/needs, and git ta see/do the kinds of things ah have over the years.
Jest a dang shame that cathouse warn't hirin' Personnel Directors when ah got outta the service back in '76....
