It's under warranty let the dealer fix it.
But sounds like a switch that has gone permanently closed.
Need to actually test the switch electronically to confirm it though.
It just might not be installed properly or some such other defect.

I always pull my clutch in when I start mine in neutral, a dealer saw me do that and told me that was hard on my bike doing that. I can't believe that is true and I still always pull in the clutch.
