At Ray Price HD in Raleigh NC on Saturday. Saw a SG with a frame mounted, strait, chrome bar just in front of the boards that put the highway pegs an inch or two in front of and outside the boards. Saw more than one bike with them so I know it's not a one off home made thing. Anybody know what they are and where I can find them? I'm too short for the crash bar mounted pegs I have, thought about getting taller, butthink this may be a cheaper option. And before it is said, I don't like platfrom shoes, so that's not an option either.
I believe you are talking about Kuryakyn Cruise arms. Around $160.00 for FLH models. Can find the on their website or anyone who sells their products. Hope that helps.
you know a few years ago you couldn't hardly bend a HD engine guard.
Dropped bike in mud in drive way few weeks back and it bent like a wet noodle.
didn't hurt anything else though.
so I am planning on removing it and was thinking of fabricating a bar like you discribe.
But will have to look at ones in link.
Might accomplish same thing and be nicer and easier.
