Default Floorboard extensions

OK, I'm going to get extensions for my floorboards and I need some input. I know SOOS (a regular here) makes them, but so does Harley Goodies and they are a sponsor of the site, so the fact that both of them are active here takes away any loyalty from the purchase. That said, has anybody used or seen both so they can give me some input as to the differences and advantages of the two of them? Thanks.

Soos can tell you exactly what the difference is, but they will both work. I bought mine from Soos because he offers so many options, plus a set for the rear. I did both with 1" and the ol' lady and I liked them immediately. Piece of cake to install, great quality and Soos is a wonderful guy to work with. I ordered and they were in my hand in three days. About a half hour to install, all four were done. Not trying to sway you either way, just letting you know my experience ......

Let me start this by saying that I have NEVER seen the Harley Goodies Extention Kit...

However, take this however you want it...

It is NOT a knock on SOOS Product... Infact his product is HIGH QUALITY and LOOKS GREAT!!!

I Imagian that this problem would be the same with ANY 1" EXTENTION KIT!!!

*****WARNING*****

BE VERY CAREFUL WITHSOOS 1" KIT!!!

I don't know how aggressive you ride and weather or not you scraped making turns prior to installing the extentions...

BUT...

I removed my 1" kit from SOOS after I almost flipped my bike making a left turn...

The boards at the OEM mounting point will allow the floorboard to scrape first which has give to it...

With the 1" kit the first thing to hit is the floorboard front mount which is MOUNTED SOLID... so when you hit it you teeter on it and can potentially take your wheel right off the ground...

So....

With this said... BEWARE AND BECAREFUL!!!

RON

I had them on a 2008 Road King
