H4 ST bulb shimming?

H4 ST bulb shimming?
I put a H4 ST bulb in my EGC today and adjusted it on the old barn door. It's certainly brighter! I'm getting ready to leave work and the patten looks a little strange. Low beam is flat and wide as you would expect except it looks ragged. The high beam is hard to tell until I get on the road but seam to be rounder and much higher. Did anyone need to do any shimming to get the bulb out of the lens to change or get a better pattern?

I installed one last year. What I found out and always thought, was that my headlight was low. The service manual will tell you where it should shine. I even went a little higher than what the manual said, just to give me more light at night. The low beam during the day doesn't show as bright to on coming cars, so to make sure they see me I use high beam during the day.
Oh, and mine is somewhat jagged.
Had to take my light apart and clean the glass, looked really foggy.

Thanks for the feedback. I just rode it home and it's ok, I need to move it a little to the right and maybe up some. I really like the difference for $20!
