I always get great ideas from all of you... so, here is another question
My awesome wife just bought me these for our anniversary... http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
She bought the correct mounting hardware but the challenge is that there is no curve to the mounting bracket or the badge... so, do you have any suggestions on how to bend them and place them properly? I already stripped the old badges off, so it's a clean slate!
I have used the metal tank emblems on alot of my scoots. Decide where you want it on the tank and then lay the backing plate against the tank and mash on it and kinda form it to the shape of the tank, remove the backing tape, stick it on and then install the outer emblem with the screws provided. They look real good when you are done. Post pics when completed.
It may be very hard to mount it if the curve is not right. You may have to mount it more forward to where the curve in the tank fits it. I mounted mine a little more forward and it worked good. I doubt you can "bend it" any to help. But maybe someone can help with that.
Im having the same problem mounting the emblems you have on my dyna street bob. I am thinking about having someone heat them up and bend them. I will let you know how I make out. In the mean time if anyone has a better idea please let me know.
