The Glide for best all around, and no contest at hiway speeds. But maybe the FB lets you sit back a bit more and the Glide feels like you are on top of it a bit.
OK, next question then. I'm going to go test drive the 06 RK custom that i found and see how it rides. I like the sportiness of the SG along with all of the amenities, but will the vibration at idle cause any undue back pain issues? I've seen two ppl here post that they were happier with the RK over the SG and that pushes me more towards the RK. But i'd be missing out on the extra goodies.
What's the real difference between a windshield and a fairing? Can you really feel a difference in the ride?
Edit: and for the record, i'm not doing any real long distance riding. I ride to and from work as much as the weather and my back lets me. We do a day ride once a month that runs anywhere from 200-500 miles depending on the crew and time restraints. I dont forsee me doing any cross country stuff for a while and likely not out of state (Texas is a big place). So isn't the EG just a bit of overkill?
