Default Luggage Rack - HD vs Kuryakyn

I’m looking at adding a usable luggage rack to my 08 FLHX Street Glide. I like the Harley Stealth rack but am also considering the Kuryakyn luggage rack (P/N 7152). Looking for photos of either one installed on a Street Glide/Touring Bike and opinions on which one looks better

The Kuryakyn rack is sweet lookin'...I've been debating too.
Problem is, it's a computer rendering. Think I'll wait to see how it turns out.
Same thing with their neck and frame covers. Speaking of which, anybody have 'em (older models)? Good fit?

Stealth rack looks awesome. Had one on my 06 SG and I always got compliments on it. And it was functional too. Alot of people think it is just decorative. I used it for my Kuryakyn Full Dresser bag. Personally I think the Kury rack looks cheesy. And if you look at the install instructions it involves sticking it to the grab rail.

I ordered mine from M&M and had it ina little over a week, and I live in Alberta, Canada. Kuryakyn is obviously making and selling them now, which is something you can't say about Jardine. The reason I have the Kuryakyn rack is because I ordered the Jardine touring backrest and was told the rack that attaches to the the backrest would be in in a few weeks. Bull Sh*t... Jardine hasn't even made the rack yet. They need enough orders for the Road King model before they will build it (Apparently the earliest it will be available is late summer.). The problem Ihave in themounting points are now used up by the Jardine backrest so I needed a rack that didn't use the same mounting points, therefore the Kuryakyn rack.

The rack is high quality and looks great (far from cheesy) with my Corbin solo seat/pillon. I moved the license below the taillight so the back of the bike now looks like the FLHX. I had been looking for a rack for the Road King that mounted lower - it didn't need to clear the license plate anymore and I thought the lower center of gravity would be a bonus.

I originally wanted the Stealth rack, but I ride solo most of the time (solo Corbin, no rack) and I think the mounting of the Stealth rack is more permanent than the Kuryakyn rack (you replace the grab rail- correct?). I think I have the ultimate in flexibility when it come to rack options. I can put the Kuryakyn rack on in a few minutes when riding 2-up on vacation, or I can use the Motherwell rack with my solo seat if it's just me goin' it alone.

Note - The sticker on the rack says it is only rated for 10 lbs - not sure about the Stealth rack.

I just installed the HD rack that attaches to the passenger backrest. It looks good, fits well, and when you want the other look all you do is detach the backrest and the rack comes off with it.

Are you referring to the Stealth rack that attaches to the back rest or another HD rack?
