Well....it's been a little over two weeks since the accident and I'm finalizing the parts replacement list for placing an order. I've had my suspicions in regards to the front engine mount before the accident and will be replacing it since I just don't trust it. Most likely I will also be replacing the stabilizers. I have searched the forums in regards to the Velva-Ride products but still didn't find anything that seemed to be a definitive answer if they are better than stock or not. I also know the MoCo upgraded the stock front mounts in '06 and was wondering if those are any better.
I'm looking for some input in regards to which would be the best way to go. I have no problem spending the extra cash on the Velva-Ride as long as they truly are a better product and design.
Just had to replace the OEM lower front mount on my 06 Ultra. The rubber was splitting. It was covered under extended warranty.
The HD replacement seems to have a firmer material in it. I get a bit more vibration from the engine to the frame. I have read posts here in the past with quite a few people complaining about the increase in vibes after changing the motor mount.
In my opinion, the increase is not that big of a deal.
