Default Second Dumbest Thing....

Weather clears. It was supposed to rain. It's about 50 degrees so why not go for a ride? I call 3 buddies, but no one can make it. So, off I go to watch my son coach a soccer match. Not too far, about 8 miles from my house. I'll spend some time there then go for a cruise and get home before dark. Bike runs great, I'm enjoying it... the winter blues are almost gone. The second I shut the bike off I realize I left my key fob home, in my other jacket, which of course is just a few feet from my bike. Fortunately my wife is a good sport and she brings the key to me... the biggest problem is explaining how I got to the game without the key. Here then is what I learned. Now I lock the fork, even though my garage is secure. That will force me to get the key. I'm sure no one else has ever done this. I'm just grateful I was not 250 miles from home and fueling the bike.

In case you're interested... the first dumbest thing was posting a question about how to open the new saddlebags (off the bike)!

Ride safe, and take your key!

Wire tie the key fob to the bike in an out of site place. You'll never have to make that embarrassing phone call again.

Just throw the fob in a saddlebag. Problem solved!

Makes you kinda wish we had to use a key to start the things, don't itI always bring mine into the house and hang em up. Now I just have to remember to grab them everytime I go out to fiddle with the bike so it doesn't chirp and scream at me....... I never forget my truck keys

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!! Yes, the beauty and the wonder of technology! It won't happen again. At least any time soon I'm going to wire tie it to my helmet, this way nobody can start the bike without my head... which at least temporarily is still attached to my body. Actually, because of 6 surgeries my head is attached with a titanium plate and four stainless steel screws. Unfortunately that did nothing for my back and nothing for my grey matter either. I love this bike!

Why didn't you punch your code in manually with your turn signals? I ended having to do that when my security system took a ****.

Hey post some pics of your bike. All I have is the one you sent me in an email a while back when I bought your fork lowers......
P.S. I'm waiting to do the powdercoating/install until after our trip this summer.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Now, don't ever tell your wife she made a trip for nothing.
