10k service
Just finished my 10k service. I had the day off and its raining so I figured I'd give it a try. Saved about $200 over having the dealer do it, plus two trips to the dealer, and being without my bike for a couple days. Feels good knowing someone else didnt have to work on my bike. By the way, I used Amsoil 20w50 all three holes.

Nice saving a little coin ain't it!
Just do all your supposed to without cutting corners, and save the receipts.
Nice knowing it was all actually done when you do it!
Now take the money saved and go get a beer for your hard work!

TheWhitedogg: Congrats on doing your own service work; I concur with the Amsoil in all 3 holes (although we will probably start a whole new rant about oil) - I have not had a problem with that lubrication regimen.

I've used HD products.... myself, and letting them do it... is Amsoil that good?

Did my 10k service this weekend also. Three trips back to the Dealer, I'll get it right next time. Learned alot by doing it myself.
Mobil 1 in the primary & engine, Mobile 1 gear oil in the tranny.
