I just purchased a brand new '08 FLHTP a couple of days ago. Since then, I 've been able to put about 200 miles on it. I have to say I absolutely love this bike. The air cushion seat is unbelieveable! It takes the bumps right out of the road, and my a$$ and back feels so much better after a long ride. I took it on a long country road with lots of twisties andit feels very nimble, unlike any other Harley I've owned. Not sure if the run-flat tires have anything to do with that. But, I also have a Road King and noticed that when the twowere parked side-by-side, the FLHTP seemed to sit lower. Well, I measured, and sure enough the FLHTP is 1" lower. I think one of the things I like best about the bike is the hockey puck bags. If I'm sitting at a light and I need something from one of the bags, I just twist around and I can get it with one hand! But the best part about the FLHTP is the 103" motor. It feels very good, lots of torque, even though I haven't really twisted on the throttle too much yet. And, it just looks bad-a$$...vivid black with the 100th anniversary police bikebadge on the front fender. I am really happy I decided to buy it. I started to have second thoughts shortly before I took delivery but I am so glad I went ahead with it. And every where I go, people seem to notice it much more than my other bikes. I've been getting waves from cagers even! One sweet ride. Sorry, no pics yet.
I don't know how to ask this exactly, but how much was your FLHTP compared to say the Road King, or Ultra Classic. I mean, if you want to post the exact price, that's what I'm looking for, but if you want to just say more than a certain bike or less that a certain, that would be great. I'm pretty close to getting an Ultra Classic, but I've heard the police model is cheaper and it comes with the larger engine and a few other extras like a higher output alternator. Also, it being an inch lower is nice as I'm not the tallest guy around. Enjoy the bike and safe riding!
I'm new to HD's so please educate me. What model is an FLHTP? I looked in the HD catalog and could not find a bike with that designation. The 103" motor added to my confusion. Thanks, Clayguy

Curtis, the sticker on the bike was $18,838.00, add $940 for freight, and another $844 for Va. state taxes, registration, etc., that is a total of $19622.00. I got it for $18622.00 out the door. Plus, the bike has ABS.
