I went to my storage unit to work on my bike. Pulled up to my unit there was a guy (in his van next to my unit)there dressedin a Harley shirt, Harley boots, etc. When I got out I spoke, and he basically grunted at me. (******* I said to myself)...Anyway, I opened my unit and he saw my Street Glide, his whole attitude changed, he was complimenting me on my bike etc, gave me a couple website to visit, and we talked for 10 mins. Finally I asked, "what do you ride". He said I have a Kawsawki!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dressed in Harley, but don't own one......
Actually I think it's a trend that folks are wearing Harley gear as a fashion statement. Sorta like name brand fashions.
Point to this story??? Be nice to folks, 'cause you never know who they are.

Did he have the 2 or 3 foot wide bar and sheild logo in the back window of his truck?
I saw about 50 of him at vinnies this weekend. I ride my bike almost daily and don't have any "biker" gear. I do have chaps I bought for rain but I have only used them twice... well.... I do have a wallet chain. I guess that makes me a biker! Damnit, got to throw that thing away.
I never wore Harley stuff until I bought one. Then when I sold my bike, I felt funny wearing t-shirts and leatherwhile not having a bike. I had so many t-shirts, I had to go buy another bike so I could start wearingthe t-shirts and leatheragain. Maybe he's just wishful thinking. Poor guy.
My late cousin rode Harley's the last40 years of his life, but never wore the Harley clothes unless he was actually on his bike. He used to get a chuckle from all the young guys in town that were wearing Harley clothes but didn't even have a bike. One time I heard him tell a group of them that he wished he wouldn't have spent all his money on that damn bike of his so he could afford to wear those great Harley clothes.
I also know a guy who is in his thirties and has a killer Harley tattoo, but has never owned a bike of any kind.
