I just put one on my new motor Wednesday and it helped a bunch. Buddha96 is right about picking up a tap to chase the paint from the bolt holes. Others on the forum had mentioned that and saved me a trip back to town, and in these days of $4.00 gas, I appreciated that.
Ft. fork baffles are great.. Had one on all my touring bikes.. Reduces buffeting.. AND you can hang stuff on them.. Like my head unit for my radar detector.. Nothing in the way..(IE: no fiberglass to go thru.. and is almost unnoticeable..!!
Put me in the "whatever" category. I have one I put on this winter on my RKC. It might have reduced the buffeting a shlight amount but certainly not the night and day I have heard others boast of.
