Leave mine on year round, with the tall 15.5 Clearview windshield with a vent and the baffle it is like riding in a bubble, very , very, comfortable. Tim
I've got one on mine. To tell you the truth, I can't remember if it made a drastic difference, but its still on there. Get one, there cheap and it looks good.
Now I want to take it off just to see if I can tell the difference.
They come stock on the Roadglide and if you install Lowers they tell you to remove them. I leave mine on in the winter and remove the baffle in the summer. With the air baffle in your mtr will run about 10 to 15 deg hotter if you are running lowers.
To me it was day and nite difference. Much less updraft wind in my eyes. Shirt doesnt blow up anymore either.
I had the fork air deflectors on too....verdict is still out on them. They blocked the wind...for sure....but the 'buffetting' I felt in the front end cancels it out. Will put them back on next winter and try again.
