We want to spend a few days there riding and then go over to Nasville. We have tickets to see Jeff Dunan in Nasville so it should be pretty cool. My question is what are the must rides around Pigeon Forge? Someone told me all great just pick a roud. I know about deals Gap not sure I realy want to ride it anything that comes to mind?

Hey man - where in SW LA do you live? I own a business in Crowley and another in Kaplan; I live in Monroe and ride down there from time to time to see what's going on. Let me know if there are rides or places I should see when I'm in that part of the world. And, I've been planning a trip to TN and thinking about riding the dragons tail. Let me know how it goes and if you find some rides you think I should take.
Thanks in advance for the info. Be safe and have a world or fun. By the way, if you get this way give us a call, we always have something good to eat and drink at our house.
Although it's on the opposite side of the park, if you get anywhere near the area don't miss riding the Cherohalla Skyway! (It can be done as part of a loop including Deal's Gap/Tail of the Dragon.)
Pigeon Forge is on the North side of the park. Cherohalla is South and across the Little T River. It runs from Tellico Plains, TN to Robbinsville, NC.
I live about 39 minutes from pigeon forge and the riding and scenery around here is awesome. if it's a warm day, you will enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the great smokey mountains. The dragon is not as bad as some might want you to believe but it must be respected...cops are everywhere...even in the air. If you ride it, check out killboy.com and likely your photo will be on the site a few days later...how he makes a living. Anyway, have a safe and memorable trip!!
Everywhere in east Tennessee is good! Just stay off the interstates, use state highways...that's why so many HOG ( National )rallies are held in this area..Check out Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum ( Pigeon Forge )too! If needed, Smokey Mountain Harley in Marysville is good...even just to visit. Have Fun!

If you're stayin' in Pigeon Forge you'll eventually wind up in Gatlinburg (it's just up the hill). An easy ride (everything there is closer than it appears) is to head out of Gatlinburg on 441, but turn right at the park visitors center on Little River Rd. It's a beautiful two lane that'll take you over to U.S. 321. A left there will take you through Townsend, Tn. to Foothills Pkwy. Left again will take you to U.S. 129 (The Dragon). Left there to Crossroads of Time where you get to decide wether to take 129 or 28. 129 takes you towards the Cherohala Skyway, & 28 takes you back towards 441. I recommend 28 to U.S. 74 & back to U.S. 441. That'll take you back over the mountains to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. All of that is great riding. Some 4 lane, but a lot of 2 lane mountain riding. The entire loop starting & ending in Pigeon Forge is 158 miles. That should leave time for some stops & a nice lunch at one of the many roadside restaurants.

Thanks, heading down that way.... 8 days, 12 hours,,,,tic, toc, tic, toc, tic, toc,
I somewhat agree with Jinks, however you can do the Cherohalla (very much recommended) and not have to do the Dragon. Check out mapquest taking 321 to 129 and turn right. It'll take you to Tellico Plains and on to the Cherohalla, from there go to Robbinsville to Cherokee NC (where the casino is). Then back across 411 to Piegon Forge. It's a long ride but worth it.
