Natchez trace. A non commercial roadway . Its a nice ride goes for about 400 mi., and of course the dragons tail. Both rides have lots of cops and bicycles. Watch out for crotch rockets .
Dont ride the Line! Them rice burners are flyin around those rodes.

Some of my friends and I just got back from Pigeon Forge.
Two up the Dragon is work (actually on any baggerit would be even single rider)and its busy. I would still recomend doing it because you can hit Foothills Skyway on the way to the Dragon and Cherahola Skywayafter you finish it.
Foothills Skyway and Cherahola Skyway were both GREAT rides, not crowded at all, and the view from the top of the Cherahola Skyway, Alt 5350', is really nice.
Also the ride from Pigeon Forge to Cherokee NC is good, you'll pass a place called Clingman's Dome. I believe it is the highest point in Tn if memory hasnt played any tricks on me, if you are gonnastop at Clingman's Dome (higly recommendedto stop and get some photos if not cloudy, definately worth the extra effort) be sure to take walking shoes, you wont want to walk the last half mile in riding boots. Its about a half a mile up a slope that goes up almost another 400'.
Where ever you ride down therebe on your toesfor all the other drivers, lots of Blue Hairs and Crotch Rockets. Some of those rodes you can't see more than a hundred yards or maybe less in front of you so things can get in your way QUICK.

Cades cove is great in the fall of the year. But you can see deer just about any time of the year. And the occasional bear causes a major traffic jam on the loop. It's not a great motorcycle ride thru the loop but a nice road getting there.
FYI- The Tennessee State HOG Rally is the weekend of June 7 & 8...so there will be more company....But, there's plenty of room and lots of riders there year round!

No hijack at all, some great information here. I'm gonna print all the replys and get the Zummo out and do a little work. Thanks to everyone who posted, now I'm working 12 hr shifts all the way through Sunday and leaving on Monday so I didn't have a lot of time for research. But this sounds better then I even thought, can't wait to fire the bike up and head out!

Here's my reply to another post on the East TN area. FWIW, I stay away from P.Forge, & G-Burg. Way too much traffic. I didn't list the obvious rides such as the Dragon, Cherohala, Nantahala Gorge, etc. Almost too many roads to list, or ride, in that short of a visit. Hope you enjoy your stay. Be sure to post back & let us know where you rode while here, & which roads you liked best & why.
