Dayum - I've been fighting a vibration problem on my Dyna for about a year now. I also replaced front motor mount, checked the rear and went thru all the allignment procedures with no success. My vibration occures whether bike is moving or just sitting and running at 2000 to 2800 rpm's. After reading your post, I recalled that about a year ago, I had to take the pipes off to work on something. Maybe when I reinstalled them, I didn't get them lined up properly. Now I have a job for the morning! Thanks!

Holy S#$t

Could it really be something this simple? I too have been trying to diagnose what I thought was excessive vibration for a few weeks now. After reading this post, I realized that this might be my problem as well as I had to replace one of my exhaust gaskets a few weeks ago. Sure enough, I went home last night made a few minor adjustments (loosened and re-tightened a few bolts), and the vibration is gone.

Couldn't believe it when I started her up and saw that she running as smootlhy as she did the day I got her.

I can't tell you how icredibally timely this post is. I have just recently noticed that I am getting a lot of heavy vibration as I get slowed to a stop. It is right at the front of the engine. I have not had to slip ons off in a long time but this makes sense so I will check it out. I was beggining to think that I was going to have to replace the front mount. Thanks for posting this.
