Just got my PCIII from Fuelmoto today and I couldn't get home fast enough to install it. I put my Rinehart slip-ons and the HD Heavy Breather on over the weekend, so all that was left was the PCIII.
I took the bike out for about a 20 mile ride and I've got to tell you, what a difference. This is the way the bike is suposed to run.I highly recommend the PCIII from FuelMoto. Great Price, Great Support and their MAP worked great on my setup.
Not to get you down, but good luck, see how long it lasts. I had problems with mine and it crapped out within 6 months. Took it off, put on a ThunderMaxx. Hope you don't have the same problems.
I had the same results.... power commander, k&n filter, and supertrapp s e slipons.
The results were like night and day.
I've been running power commanders for5 years previous on suzuki bikes with no problems whatso ever. Great product. Never mind wasting extra dollars on a thundermax like some people who think more expensive is better. If one failed in 6 months then it was faulty and not a common occurance.I get a kick out of these forum members who brag about their 08 ultras sayin they are betterthan 07's and who are glad they lost on their trade just To get rid of their 07's for the 08's.
The bikes are identical except for IDS pulley and the fly by wire. They have their own problems as well....they run hot.......the fly by wire is flakey...... and the brakes squeek. Remove your IDS and then tell me your trans doesen't make any noise.........
The people who have the thunder maxes and the serts swear they have the best setups and would never have a power commander even thought power commander sells thousands of these units and the majority are having great results.
My bike runs strong, no heat issues, and no noise after the IDS install. Stick your 08s, thundermaxes and sertswhere the sun don't shine.................
I feel much better now......... OK next topic
I'm sure all products have a down side on some, I installed the PCIII and couldn't be more pleased and my ride runs like a scalded dog compared to before the install, here's hoping it continues..
I ordered my PCIII on Monday after speaking with Keith at FuelMoto. I expect to have it tomorrow. My 2004 RG is my first Harley and after all the research I chose FuelMoto as the source to get the PCIII. I look forward to getting this (hopefully Thursday), installing and see how it acts with the SE intake and SE II slip-ons.
I will be in the "Is it time to leave work mode" probably from lunchtime on. I am pumped.
Please let me know how you are doing on MPG once you get your PCIII on and running. We are almost the same with mods (i have reinheart S/Os and SE air cleaner). But I did the Stage I MAP and I am nothappy...........I am looking hard at the PCIII or T-Max
I will let you know. From looking at the MAP tables the amount of fuel delivery has been increased about an average 10-12%. But I may lose more. There is so much torque there now that I was pretty throttle happy just on the short ride that I took to try it out.
Power commander from Fuel Moto is the best money you could spend. They give you free maps as you change your setup . A lot of guys in here have deep pockets , but IMO for a stock bike with pipes and air upgrade anything else is overkill. The map Jamie sent me for my current setup runs so well I have decided to save the cash I had put aside for a dyno tune.
