probably should have asked before i bought but just received hd tank bra for my 08 classic. as usual, hd instructions suck. whats with the front strap. looks like the rear one goes under frame @ rear of tank but inst. say front on goes over front of tank. looks like it will slide all the way back towards rear of tank only hanging up on top of cylinders. am i missing something here?
also. bought this because jeans are scuffing paint on tank especially when i have my feet on the highway pegs. am a little concerned that this bra with do more damage than not using it! let me know what ya'll think!!! thanks
I have one. I took it off after reading here that gas and crap somtimes get trapped under bra and scratches finish.
I was just thinking about puttining it back on when I read your post. Think I will wait and see what others have to say.

I had one for my 2003 Electra Glide standard. I still have it.I never putit back on the bike when I sold it 3 months ago.If you'd of posted thisbefore you bought it, I'd of sentyou mine for nothing. Just pay the shipping.Yes, The long strap goes completely over and around the front of both sides of the tank. Put the back part on first. The other two littlestraps go under the frame, under your seat. Attach the 'S' clip through the looped end of the other little strap. You have to pull the vinylup from time to time as it slips down when you ride. I didn't think much of mine. I used it twice and put it on the shelf after a wash. Mine held sand and small road debris when I rode. Then again, I am in Florida. As you know, it is cotton lined. It will give you some protection but you have to check it and clean it often. Oh, and let it air dry or it will shrink up on you. Hope this helps. [sm=signs003.gif]
Crappy Fit for sure... And like any Bra on the Putt will cause paint damage in time... Dust & sand will make it's way under the Bra and will break down the paint over time... If you do use any of them make sure you clean and put a extra heavy coat of wax on the areas to be covered... Make sure you take them off and clean & re-wax on a regular basis
I like mine. They're easy enough to remove to clean under & I think the damage will be less than the scuffing my knees were making on the tank. Keep everything clean and you'll be fine.
